Ward Christmas Party

The Primary was asked to present the nativity for the ward Christmas party.

So, iIn Primary we talked about the nativity and I took our one from home to show the children. After telling the story, we practiced for. The kids did pretty well. The first pictures below are of the children who were in Primary to practice. Of course, we had Mary and Joseph and angels

And more angels......                             And we had a wiseman, a shepherd and an inn
keeper.  We were a little short on boys that day.

The day of the party, we had a whole different and larger group of children show up.  So we had a different Mary and Joseph, many more angels and plenty of shepherds and wisemen.

They did a pretty stellar job!

The Young Adults put on a skit and reading.                       The Relief Society fixed the food.

It rained really hard and there was no power at the church.  We had taken our inverter to use for the mic, but the kids couldn't talk into it very well.  We also didn't have any light so the building got dark really fast.  There were about 90 people there and the building was bursting at the seams.  Everyone had a great time.  We took the children to the Primary room and played impromptu games with them for 2 hours.  We played I Have a Little Doggy, musical chairs with no music but me singing Primary songs, and I taught them the Heel and Toe Polka to my humming.  It was fun and I went home very tired.
