The Lusaka Stake was created in March and in September we had the first stake conference. It was exciting to be a part of that historic event. It was held in the Lusaka Building. We sat toward the back of the hall and so only got pictures of the back of people's heads. It was a great conference and was attended by about 850 people. The Stake Presidency is President Harrison Lubama, with counselors, Blessing Mushala and Chris Chansa. The high councilmembers were sustained and this stake is ready to take off and grow, Grow, GROW!
The members love to mingle together after the meetings as they don't see each other often. Also, man of them came on buses provided for transportation to the chapel and so they had to wait for their buses to return to take them home to their areas of town.
It was a joyous occasion and everyone felt the spirit of love and friendship.

Sister G. with a Matero Ward member, Hope! She's called that because she was born premature and they weren't sure she would live, but her parents are faithful members and "hoped" she would live and be healthy. And so she was! She's a sweet sister!
Love seeing your blog! You both are amazing servants of the Lord
