A Visit by an Apostle of the Lord!

Also in February, Elder Neil L. Anderson visited the mission.  He was going to the Congo to do the ground breaking for the new temple there.  We felt privileged that he spent a few days with us in Zambia.  This is a picture with the Stake and District leadership.  Front row is Elder Cook, Blessings Mushala, (behind) Elder Ellis, Chris Chansa, President Harrison Lumbama and Elder Anderson.

A picture of all the seniors with the Leadership.  Left to right.  Elder Muletchi and his wife, Elder and Sister Groesbeck, Elder and Sister Bodily, Elder and Sister Hull, Elder and Sister Salmon, Elder and Sister Cook, Elder and Sister Ellis.  Front row:  Sister and Elder Andersen, President and Sister Erickson.

Elder and Sister Anderson called their grandson to sing happy birthday to him in their absence.
Elder Anderson was very gracious to greet the members of the Stake.  Andrew Kampelya
This little helper was so cute in handing out the hymn books for all to sing from.
In the next General Conference, Elder Anderson talked about his experience in Zambia, which included a story about President Erickson as a young man who stopped coming to Primary for a few weeks because he had been asked to give a talk and had not parents or family members who were active to help him prepare.  Elder Anderson also talked about Elder Ssengooba and the picture below is us watching conference on our Ipad before we were able to view it at the church.  There was a nice picture of Elder Ssengooba and Elder Walusimbi, who was the little boy who first welcomed Elder Ssengooba to church after he was baptized and also turned out to be his trainer in the mission field.  It was a great talk and a great conference to visit with Elder Anderson.
